How Long or How Wide? is a one of a kind book for students when it comes to learning measurement. It adds humor and rhyming to make learning the metric system fun! Throughout the story, different creatures present different units of measurement and show what that measurement looks like. They also measure different objects that are reasonable to measure with that unit of measurement.

The illustrations of the book definitely tie together the content area to help the readers imagine the math concepts better.

Measuring Penny is a book about a young girl who needs to do an assignment with measuring and she decides to choose her dog, Penny! Throughout the book, she uses standard units like inches and non standard units like dog biscuits to show how she measures objects or parts of dogs. This book is great by showing different kinds of measurement even liquid and time. It also is a good comparison book when it comes to whats the biggest of smallest measurement.
